Ilene will continue to guide this popular series on Lamrim meditations. Please feel free to drop in to any class as each week has a theme of its own and newcomers are most welcome. Lamrim is a special set of instructions that includes 21 meditations encompassing all the essential teachings of Buddha. In each Sunday class we focus on one of these, with teachings and guided meditations from The new Meditation handbook. We all face many challenges and joys in our busy lives. The teachings on the six main practices of a Bodhisattva, known as the perfections, provide us with inspiring and practical guidelines for the most joyful and meaningful life.
Giving: Creating Abundance
Giving is a simple, yet profound practice that can easily be incorporated into our daily lives. In these uncertain times, however, we may hesitate, not knowing how to give, or whether we have enough to give. In this series, we’ll explore many different ways to practice giving that will help us to develop the powerful and generous heart of a Bodhisattva, enabling us to help everyone in temporary and long-lasting ways.
