Meditation for Young Teens

Sundays 11:30am-1pm

Hey Teens! Are you bored, frustrated, or confused by life? Do you want to live in a happier world? Learn how controlling your mind enables you to control your world!
This weekly meditation class will show us how to change our mind so we can go from being moody,  angry or just plain annoyed, to fun, happy and inspired. We will learn how through the power of positive minds and actions it is possible for everyone to live in and build a better world.   For teens ages 12-14.


 

 

 

 

Kelsang Gewang – Teacher of Young Teen’s Meditation Class

Kelsang Gewang is a Kadampa Buddhist nun of the New Kadampa Tradition.   She ordained with Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in the Summer of 2006 after discovering Dipamkara Meditation Center in 2002.  She has been an active and committed member of the Center ever since.  She has 25 years of combined public school teaching experience in grades K-12. She is a dedicated and sincere practitioner with a wish to benefit the people of Long Island, especially children and teens.
